bucciarati never really lost his roots. he still liked to go fishing sometimes, and i wasn't really into it, but i'd go with him sometimes anyway
it was one of the few times i saw his face look peaceful. it was worth it.

He's all right. Reserved. Sometimes we spend time together without saying anything. It's comfortable.

Is something as small as a facial expression really so rewarding?

it's less about the facial expression and more knowing that his heart was content. the fact that i could see it on his face was just a bonus.

i haven't felt much peace since being here
there
was just one man who made me feel like the world was bearable somehow despite how shitty it could be
without him i dont really know what to do with myself
